As we finish I Love to Read Month, this is a fun tradition at Tanglen, which allows us to dress as a favorite character from a book for the day. If your child chooses to participate, here are some guidelines to remember:
*Choose a character from appropriate children’s literature.
*Keep the costume simple. Students should be able to function for a normal school day while in the costume.
*Keep makeup very simple, such as whiskers or a Harry Potter scar.
*No weapons or blood.
*Most importantly, HAVE FUN and BE CREATIVE. No need to go out and purchase anything elaborate. Part of the fun is seeing what can be assembled from things you already own.
