Easy Ways to Help Our School

From Tea & Nicole: Our Health Office Heroes
The health office is excited to be back to serve our scholars this ’25-’26 school year.
I had a few parents ask me what we are in need of, and I directed them to contact our PTO for our Amazon wish list. I have added it below and refreshed it in the order of items that have the highest priority. We will continue to add our needs to it throughout the year.

Wanted! Blankets, Quilts & Cushions
Do you have extra blankets, cushions or quilts gathering dust? Consider donating them.
The Tanglen Media Center wants to bring story-time outside, and your donations help make this possible (and comfortable). Blankets can be dropped off in the Media Center, room 158, anytime before or after school
Contact Arden Leali-Broberg with questions.

Resources for You
In October, we hosted a Kids and Technology event. During the evening, we learned about the positive and negative impact technology can have on our kids. We also discussed how Tanglen staff are helping our kids learn by leveraging technology (and situations where they opt for screen-free learning).
Even if you couldn’t attend, we want to put these great resources in your hands.
- Ways to use technology that promote learning and creativity
- Common Sense Media – a go-to website to find reviews for everything from video games to movies to books.
- Meeting presentation slides
- The Anxious Generation YouTube video provides a good introduction to The Anxious Generation, a book that explores the impact of technology on our children.
